Our charming log cabin offers space on around 20 m² on the ground floor for 1 to 5 people (maximum 3 adults) – ideal for small families or friends who want to stay close to nature. The house is idyllically situated on a small slope and has a spacious south/west terrace with a charming view of the nearby spa park and the striking Säuling, one of the best-known peaks of the Ammergau Alps.
On the ground floor, a spacious kitchen-living area, a cosy bedroom for 2 people and a modern bathroom with shower and toilet await you. The kitchen is fully equipped – with hob, oven, dishwasher and a fridge-freezer – so that you feel completely at home here and can conjure up your favourite dishes.
A special highlight is the wood-fired masonry heater, the only heat source in the house, which not only provides pleasant warmth but also a very special, homely atmosphere. Of course we provide the necessary wood free of charge – so you can heat up in a relaxed and cosy way during the cooler months.
In the winter months you are surrounded by a magical snowy landscape that invites you to dream. Please note that access to the house is not cleared daily in the event of heavy snowfall.
On the upper floor there is a small, cosy gallery with additional sleeping options for up to three people. A space-saving staircase takes you up – under the charming sloping ceilings. Please note that adults cannot stand upright here, which nonetheless gives the room a particularly snug atmosphere.
General information & amenities
Please note:
- The path to the log cabin is not cleared daily in winter – so there may be a risk of slipperiness.
- Our log cabin is a non-smoking house, and
- pets are unfortunately not allowed.
- For your comfort, a shared washing machine and dryer in the basement of the main house are available – your apartment key opens both. Right at the entrance of the main house you will also find a small info desk for your questions.
- Parking is available directly in front of the main house.
- For cycling enthusiasts there is a covered bike shed at the car park with charging options for your e-bike batteries (charging inside the apartments is not permitted). Here too, your apartment key is the access.
- Free Wi-Fi rounds off the offer, so you stay well connected even in the countryside.
